| COBRA HELICOPTER MEMORIAL |

|
| AH-1 Cobra Attack Helicopter at Camp Murray |
This is a large public memorial honoring my father, Major General George M. Haskett. It is a AH-1
Cobra Helicopter mounted at the former site of the Camp Murray landing zone when dad was the Adjutant General of the Washington
National Guard. This permanent LZ is located about one hundred yards in front of the Adjutant General's Quarters where lived
when I was a boy. The ten flags represent the ten soldiers of the 81st IN Brigade's who we lost in combat ,during their
first deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom. The internationally acclaimed designer William E. Ryan (69 Corvette) and I
donated our design to the staff of the Washington National Guard Museum for this project. It is maintained by the State of
Washington and the 66th Aviation Brigade , Fort Lewis, Wa.

| Tough Paintjob! |

|
| Largest design yet-35 foot Hydroplane U-8 at SEAFAIR CUP in Seattle |
I had no idea of what I was getting into when I volunteered my services to the owners of this famous
Seafair winning Unlimited Hydroplane! Not only did my design have to be appealing, and read from a great distance (the shore),
and from above (helicopter mounted cameras for viewing on television); the actual paint job had to withstand the forces of
pounding into turns, on rough water at 150 miles per hour, and straightway speeds of up to 200mph!. It was a challenge and
I spent many evenings in the Seattle shop working on this boat. I was pleased that the team used our design for ten years.
I guess they liked it. * Although it was shocking to watch the boat blow over
(flip)at 150 mph and see pieces of "my yellow" flying in all directions! Designed in 1998 for the U-8 Racing Team. I get to thank
(blame ) Owen Blauman and legendary hydroplane driver/owner Bill Wurster for talking me into volunteering for this one. The
best part was working with the one and only "Pyro", Seafair trophy winning crewchief Scott Rainie.
